Tim Burton's Oscar fashion accessory? An arm sling

Director Tim Burton was hurting when he arrived at Monday afternoon's Academy Awards Nominations Luncheon in Beverly Hills.
The movie director, whose Frankenweenie is up for best animated film, was wearing an arm sling after taking a fall on a street in London weeks ago. It's been his accessory this awards season. Burton said he's still in pain, reports USA TODAY's Bryan Alexander who is attending the luncheon.
Burton was in the hospital in early January after the accident recovering from a broken arm and shoulder. At the Oscars luncheon, he talked about being "part bionic" because of a metal plate in his arm, which makes it difficult at airports.
He told New York Magazine last week that the lingering pain has made it difficult to think about what's next. "It's really hard to think about doing anything when I've got a throbbing pain in my shoulder! The painkillers are not that good here," he said from London.
