Buzz about Al Amir Cafe and Bar

We went there on a Sat. night to see a live band and dancers. First problem immediately - no air conditioning on a humid hot night! They told us the A/C broke the day before, but for some reason they didn't fix it? It was almost 90 in there, totally unacceptable. Next problem was their minimum $25 PER PERSON food purchase and $6 per person corkage fee. How can each person eat $25 with only $13 entrees and no liquor license? Due to special show, they waived the $25 minimum, but charged the $6 corkage. Most places charge a corkage fee per bottle, but not this place - $12 to open a wine bottle for two people!!! Next problem was the waiter did not know how to open our bottle of wine or pour it! I had to show him and pay for corkage too! Food is not worth mentioning, just average to poor plus they lost an order. So after an hour we had had it. Final problem was their dark parking lot and the security related issues. Never coming back. Hooka place maybe, but no restaurant. Horrible rip off.
